According to Polk County Police Department reports, officers were called to the teenager’s house around 2 p.m. Thursday where the victim, her mother and grandmother reported the incident.
Reports state the girl sustained gun or knife wounds and superficial injuries in the assault.
Reports state little about the girl’s ordeal, other to indicate that she was taken from her home against her will.
Police have arrested three people either at or near the girl’s home, according to reports. Police are not releasing the names of those arrested or the name of the victim because it involves juveniles, reports state.
Charges include conspiracy to commit a crime, robbery, aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act, simple battery, reckless conduct and party to a crime.
While the names of those arrested are not being released, reports indicate at least one, if not all, of the suspects either lives in the same house as the victim or has formerly lived in her home.
The teenage victim readily identified her attackers and, in fact, has filed at least one other police complaint against them, reports said.
