The 2010 edition of Past Times, News Publishing Co.’s award-winning history magazine, will be published in home-delivered editions today.

This year’s Past Times is a continuation of the 2009 Past Times, “These Were the Good Old Days,” and includes locally written columns and photographs about life in Floyd, Gordon, Polk, Catoosa, Walker and Bartow counties in Georgia and Cherokee County in Alabama.

The columns reflect the wealth of local columnists and contributing writers who have written about life in Northwest Georgia and Northeastern Alabama over the years for News Publishing Co. newspapers and are a celebration of our roots and traditions.

Subscribers to The Cedartown Standard received a copy of “These were the Good Old Days, Part II,” with today’s newspaper. The magazine also was included in last Sunday’s issue of The Rome News-Tribune.

The magazine will not be available in single-copy sales racks or at newsstands.

As in the past, non-subscribers may purchase individual copies of Past Times for $5 each from the Rome News-Tribune, 305 E. Sixth Ave. or at The Cedartown Standard, 213 Main St., Cedartown. Mailed copies are $8 each. Call 706-290-5235 to arrange for mailing.

Readers may also buy and download an electronic version at Pressdisplay.com after Sunday, Sept. 5, for the single copy price of $5. Click on the e-edition icon (top of page) on the Rome newspaper’s Internet home page at RN-T.com.
