The Polk County School District Board of Education will meet in special session for the purpose of funding, SRO's and personnel at the Central Office Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m.

Isn't the day before the teachers start back a little late to be contemplating budgets and personnel? How is it that other school districts in the area seem to have these issues resolved?
