A thunderstorm Wednesday evening knocked out electrical service to some Cedartown area customers.

Georgia Power had most customers back on line by 11:30 p.m.

The storm dumped about between 1 and 1 1/2 inches of rain to the Cedartown area, along with minor wind damage and light hail.

A heavy fog also settled in on the area after nightfall.

Rockmart was spared most of the brunt of the storm, having only scattered lightning and some wind, but little or no rain over most of the community.
