Friday’s drive-by shooting of a man on East 14th Street did not appear to be random, the detective handling the investigation said Tuesday.

Police are still following leads, said Detective Pete Sailors from the Rome Police Department.

Witnesses told police the suspect was a man they thought was from Rockmart who was driving a white SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe.

Deounta Curtis was shot in both arms and was treated at Floyd Medical Center.

Anyone with information can contact Sailors at 706-238-5118.
