Polk Medical Center held its Annual Service Awards Gala this May and honored employees celebrating significant anniversaries of years worked at the hospital.

Anniversaries being recognized began with 5 years of service and increased in increments of 5 years. This year, awards of up to 20 years of service were given.

“The dedication of these employees is what makes Polk Medical such a special place," said

Kim Scoggins, Polk Administrator. "Their loyalty and investment in the hospital is truly something to be treasured and honored. That is why we love having this event each year.”

Polk Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access facility that began with a Board of Trustees in 1944.

Fully accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), Polk Medical Center has a medical staff of 12 primary care physicians, a number of specialists and consultants, and a staff of approximately 100 employees. In addition to excellent emergency medical care, Polk Medical Center provides a full range of services including mammography, lab work and x-rays, CT scans, rehab, and other inpatient and outpatient services. As an HCA facility, Polk Medical Center is also in partnership with Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.
