Rainy weather today and Friday might delay the Rockmart and Cedartown Christmas parades.

The Rockmart parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. today. A determination will be made around 1 p.m. today about whether the parade will go on as scheduled.

If a rain delay is called into effect, the parade will instead be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8.

(The final parade schedule will be posted on this website later today).

Similarly, the Cedartown parade could go into rain delay mode if today's weather continues into tomorrow.

Cedartown's parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday. A determination about whether bad weather will delay the parade will be made around 11 a.m. Friday.

In a rain delay is called, the parade will instead be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.
