Heroics and hard work provided highlights for the Rockmart High School baseball team last week along with stress and uncertainty.

The Jackets went 1-2 while schools were on spring break, dropping a 6-1 game to Model last Tuesday at home and losing a marathon 10-inning contest to Pepperell, 7-6, on Friday.

A game-winning hit by Dylan Hulsey capped off a Senior Day win for Rockmart last Thursday though, keeping the slim hope of a playoff spot alive prior to the Jackets’ final regular season game at Dade County on Tuesday.
