Jodi Richardson Knight, from Cedartown, headed up Operation Christmas Stocking in Polk County.

She collected items and stuffed 115 Christmas stockings that have been sent to her husband and fellow soldiers stationed in the Middle East.

Items were donated by a variety of local people, organizations and business, including Lime Branch Baptist Church, Goodyear Elementary, Godbee Siding, Red Lobster, Applebee’s, Sonny’s, Taco Bell, Cedartown Dental, Hampton Inn, Smith-Lockwood Pharmacy, Petal Pushers, Cedar Valley Container Corp, Casey’s Food Store, Dr. Popham, State Farm-Ron Ray, Dr. Kirby Brown, Ashwood Inn, Merle Norman, Kroger, Braids-n-Nails, Ann Clay and Mary Ann Burton.

Knight extended her thanks to all who made donations.

She is married to Cpl. Sterling Knight.
