On Thursday Wal-Mart presented a check to the Cedartown United Fund.

Campaign Chairman Lindsay Woods (center) was on hand to accept the award from Store Manager Aaron Dye (right) and Assistant Store Manager Humberto Ortiz (left).

The grant is expected to go into the organization's general fund, which currently serves people across the community by providing financial assistance to local organizations that serve community needs, and to supply some of the basic necessities for underprivileged families, children and elderly citizens.
