Local republicans to hold candidate qualifying beginning April 26

The Polk County Republican Party will hold candidate qualifying Monday, April 26 through Friday, April 30 at Polk County Courthouse No. 1, third floor, in Cedartown.

Qualifying will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Friday, qualifying will run from 9 a.m. and close at noon.

Republican candidates for the following offices can qualify at this location by paying the following fee:

Polk County Commissioner $144.00

Polk County Board of Education $145.00

Republican candidates with additional questions can contact Elaine Boring, Chairman of the Polk County Republican Party at 770-748-4922.

Clarification: An earlier version of this story stated that qualifying would take place in the District Attorney's office. Qualifying will take place in a third-floor conference room, which is also used by the district attorney's office.
