An open house and dedication of the new Rockmart Municipal Complex Admi-nistrative Services Building will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28.

Local and state officials and others have been invited to attend. The public is invited to come and tour the facility, which recently opened after months of construction work at the building which once housed Rockmart High School.

A formal dedication ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m.

Local merchants are sponsoring a “taste of Rockmart’ so that everyone can enjoy samples from different places of business.

Although the total project is not complete, Mayor Curtis Lewis and city council members plan to be present for the afternoon’s activities.

City Manager Jeff Ellis said that he is happy the Administrative Building is complete. Work continues on the building where the Rockmart Police Department will be located.

The Rockmart Library will also be moved to the site at a later date.
