Caroline Hunt, a member of the Twisters, and Molly Howe, of the Hurricanes, both of Rockmart, were among the Hot Shots All Star Cheerleaders who traveled to Birmingham, Ala. recently to attend the Southeast Open National Championship, sponsored by C.O.A.

The competitive event included more than 30 all-star teams from Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee and was held at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center in downtown Birmingham.

This National event was also a qualifier for the US Finals, a multi-city, international competition to be held this spring in the cities of Orlando, Baton Rouge, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Las Vegas, and Virginia Beach.

In the Junior Coed Level 3 division, the Hot Shots Scorchers placed first and received a first-place bid to the US Finals.

In Senior Level 4, the Hot Shots Hurricanes placed first and received a first-place bid to the US Finals.

And in the Senior Open Level 5 division, the Hot Shots Coed Twisters won the Level 5 Grand Championship and received a Paid Bid to the US Finals.

This marks the second consecutive Level 5 Grand Championship won by the Hot Shots Coed Twisters this season, as well as the second consecutive Paid Bid earned towards an international competitive event.

The Hot Shots All Stars continue their 2010 competitive season on Friday, Feb. 26 at the WSA National Championship in New Orleans, La.
