Berry Wilson was recently awarded the US Jr. NBA Coaches Award.

The presentation was made locally by Recreational Director Jeff Hulsey.

Wilson was nominated by Hulsey and out of 836,000 other nominees was recognized.

He has coached three teams this past basketball season, 7-and-8 co-ed, 9-and-10, 9-and -12 and the 12-and-under All-Star team.

Wilson is the first to win the award from Rockmart, adding, “I’m honored to be nominated.”

“I really enjoy working with the kids in our community every year.”

Wilson is a former RHS graduate, who played basketball and football while being a member of the wrestling and track team.
