The Rockmart Civic Arts Commission is sponsoring the Annual Homespun Festival t-shirt design.

In the spirit of the RCAC mission, we would like to extend an invitation to 1st – 12th grade students of Rockmart to submit entries to be considered in the design. There will be cash prizes for the top three chosen.

The RCAC will choose one image from each group (1-5 grades, 6-8 grades, and high school level) to be incorporated together in the design for the 2010 Annual Homespun Festival T-shirt. Home-schooled children are also invited and encouraged to participate.

The theme is “Rockmart Revealed”. What reminds you of Rockmart or what is your favorite place? It can be places, people, buildings, landscape, or lettering, etc. Please submit works using any two dimensional media. Color schemes are unlimited. Keep in mind the chosen images will be printed on the back of the t-shirt that people will cherish for years to come.

Students are asked to turn in submissions to art teachers no later than Feb.17. Home schooled artists need to contact Leigh at lhulsey@rockmart-ga.gov or 770-684-5454 for submission instructions.
