Two Aragon residents face numerous drug charges after the Polk County Narcotics Enforcement Team served warrants on them at their home Tuesday.
Sylvia Elizabeth Adkins, 19, and Steven Wayne Crumbley, 38, both of 16 Crumbley Road, Aragon, remain in the Polk County Jail.
Adkins is charged with possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime, possession of a schedule IV drug, possession of drug-related objects; trafficking methamphetamine; methamphetamine possession, manufacturing methamphetamine, marijuana possession and possessing tools in the commission of a crime.
Crumley is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of schedule IV drugs, possession of drug-related objects, trafficking methamphetamine, methamphetamine possession, manufacturing methamphetamine, marijuana possession and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
According to various police reports, the investigation began with Aragon Police Department and was turned over to the narcotics team.
Eventually, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) was called in, along with a K-9 unit from Cedartown. A search warrant was executed and the dog found several places were narcotics were detected.
