After seeing their two-game winning streak snapped on Friday at Carrollton, the Cedartown Bulldogs endured an embarrassing game on Saturday as they lost to Cedar Grove 68-33 in non-region play.

The Bulldogs, who had won four of six before dropping back-to-back games this weekend, trailed only 29-25 at halftime against Cedar Grove before getting outscored 39-8 in the second half. That includes a dismal fourth quarter that saw Cedartown get outscored 21-1, scoring only in the waning seconds on a free throw.

Cedartown was led offensively by Zach Chubb, who finished with 10 points. Marquis Thomas added nine points and JaQuan Taylor seven.

On Friday against Carrollton in a Region 6-AAA, sub-region ‘B’ game, the Bulldogs committed 39 turnovers as the Trojans won easily, 72-35.
