A Cedartown woman was arrested Wednesday on charges that she cashed a forged check last month in Rome.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Lisa Langston Reeves, 48, of 1244 Rockmart Highway in Cedartown, was arrested on warrants by Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies around 8 a.m. She was charged with felony forgery in the first degree.

Rome police warrants stated on Dec. 29, Reeves went to the Coosa Valley Federal Credit Union on Dean Avenue and “uttered a check on another person’s account which she knew or should have known to be forged.”
