The third person in a suspected trio allegedly stealing prescription drugs from a local drugstore and reselling them on the street faces more charges.
According to the Polk County Jail docket book, Walter Darrell Presley Jr., 30, of 235 Wimberley Hill Road, Cedartown, was charged Dec. 11 with additional crimes stemming from an investigation into identification theft and stolen drugs at Bradford Drug Store on North Main Street in Cedartown.
Presley is now charged with 34 counts of conspiracy to distribute the drug albuterol; conspiracy to distribute the schedule IV drug alprazolam; 188 counts of conspiracy to distribute the drug methylprednizolone; two counts conspiracy to distribute a schedule III drug testosterone; four counts of conspiracy to obtain a dangerous drug by fraud; conspiracy to possess the controlled substance schedule IV drug alprazolam; conspiracy to possess the drug methylprednizolone; three counts of conspiracy to possess the drug albuterol; 187 counts of conspiracy to possess the schedule III drug hydrocodone; 17 counts of conspiracy to commit identification theft; 196 counts of party to a crime of theft by taking; conspiracy to use communication facilities to facilitate a drug transaction; two counts of conspiracy to possess a schedule IV drug testosterone; and 191 counts of conspiracy to obtain a controlled substance by fraud or theft.
Presley was released on a property bond.
The other two suspected in the drug ring, Tyler Ray Presley, 23, of 1794 Antioch Road, Cedartown, and Brittany Sheree Williams, 23, of 378 Browning Road, Rockmart, were also re-arrested on Polk County Sheriff’s Office warrants and charged with additional crimes Dec. 10 and 11.
Tyler Presley was charged with 587 counts on the new charges and was released from jail on a “blanket bond” of $15,000.
Williams was charged with 231 counts and has since been released on a property bond.
Tyler Presley, Walter Presley and Williams were originally arrested in October after Polk County police initiated search warrants for a home and the drug store.
