Merchants and Citizens of Polk County,

It's that time of year again! Christmas trees are going up in stores and people are beginning to shop. Wouldn't it be great if we knew that every child in Polk County would be getting a visit from Santa Claus. Sadly, we know that's not going to happen. With today's economy, so many families are struggling to make ends meet, there may not be enough for the extra Christmas expenses.

Rockmart Police Department sponsors "Christmas is for Kids" each year to help address this need. In past years, we have provided Christmas presents for many of our children, thanks to donations from merchants and citizens like you. We thank everyone who has participated in this project in the past. Because of your generosity, many of our local children woke up Christmas morning to presents under the tree, who may not have otherwise gotten anything.
