According to Cedartown Assistant Police Chief Jamie Newsome, a woman and a female friend had rented a motel room at 1004 North Main St. She told police Poole and a male friend came to her room intoxicated.

An altercation began and Poole began damaging the room and becoming physical with the woman, according to reports.

Reports state her friend left and the woman hid in the bathroom with Poole preventing her from leaving.

Eventually, the woman made it downstairs to report the incident to motel management. Reports state it was then she saw Poole and his friend leave in her car. She told police her keys were in her purse.

Police found Poole with the car at 45 Knight Drive, Cedartown. Newsome said the car had two flat tires and apparently had been involved in an accident of some sort, although none had been reported.
