A Cedartown woman is in the Polk County Jail on charges she allegedly assaulted two people in an episode on Santa Claus Road.

Samantha Lea Landrum, 29, of 147 Abner Drive, Cedartown was arrested Wednesday and charged with criminal trespass and two counts of aggravated assault, according to jail reports.

According to Polk County Police Department reports, Landrum showed up at 334 Santa Clause Road around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday to talk to ex-boyfriend Ryan Golden. Golden, who was at the residence with his current girlfriend, Courtney Clifton, told police he went outside to tell Landrum to leave. He said Landrum became angry, picked up a black metal pole and struck him on the forearm.

He stated to police that Clifton then got involved and Landrum struck her in her back, causing a small wound. Reports state Landrum then pulled a small pocketknife and struck Golden in the chest. Clifton then grabbed Landrum by the back of the hair, which made her drop the knife.

Golden and Clifton then fled back into the house and called 911, reports said.

Reports state that Landrum then began hitting Clifton's car with the metal pole and also pushed over a wooden fence near the driveway.

Landrum had a different version of the incident, according to reports. She told officers that Ryan was expecting her and Clifton would not let her speak to him on the phone. She also said in reports that Golden and Clifton knocked her to the ground and that she stabbed Golden in self-defense. Landrum denies ever hitting Clifton.

Reports state that wounds on both Golden and Clifton were small. Although paramedics looked at both, neither required medical attention, reports said.
