Stolen car found in Polk Co.

A car taken Tuesday from Boatfields Auto on Martha Berry Highway was found in Polk County Wednesday morning, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

The 1988 white Ford Escort worth $1,500 was reported to have been taken between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday. Reports stated at the time it was taken, there was no gas in the car.

The Escort was later found by Polk County police on the side of the road, and was picked up by the owners of the car lot.

There were no suspects in custody at the time of the report.
