Two local people injured in separate summer crashes have been released from the hospital, according to an Atlanta Medical Center spokesperson.

One of those wreck victims is Sundee Rebecca Proctor, 25, of 14 East Third St., Aragon. She was the driver of the Ford Explorer Sport Trac that overturned on Highway 101 near Aragon June 30.

Police said the wreck occurred when Proctor tried to pass two vehicles by using the right lane. However, there was a car going slow in the right lane and Proctor turned the wheel to avoid it, causing the truck to overturn on the grassy bank across from Nordic Cold Storage LLC.

Proctor will likely be charged with driving too fast for conditions and improper passing, according to police.

The second wreck victim released from Atlanta Medical is Jackie Eugene Brock, 44, of 4356 Collard Valley Road, Cedartown.

He underwent surgery after his motorcycle wreck the night of June 30.

The crash between him a 2000 Toyota Tacoma happened on Highway 278 at Peacock Lane, across from Wal-Mart.

Police said Brock was riding his motorcycle on Highway 278 when Tina Irene Holt, 50,of Taylorsville attempted to turn left in front of the biker.

Brock struck her pick-up on the side.

Holt, who was uninjured, will be cited with failure to yield, police said.
