Tallatoona CAP now offering economic crisis assistance program to qualified residents

The Tallatoona Community Action Partnership is currently offering an economic crisis assistance program, designed to assist those hardest hit by the recession.

To be eligible for the program, clients must have been affected by the downturn in the economy within the last 24 months, must be below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, and must have a verifiable economic crisis, which is defined as unexhausted unemployment, being laid off, or having hours reduced.

Anyone interested in this program may contact the nearest Tallatoona Community Action Partnership, Inc. Human Resource Development Center for additional details.

Locations include Cartersville, Douglasville, Rome, Buchanan, Dallas, Calhoun and Cedartown.
