A Cedartown woman faces charges after Aragon Police Chief Wayne Sanders said she refused to pull over when he turned on his lights and siren.
Aragon Police Department reports did not list all the charges Chasitity Summerville, 30, of 3893 Collard Valley Road, Cedartown faces stemming from the Aug. 17 incident, which began at her home. However, the original charge was criminal trespass.
According to reports, Summerville left her home in her green van after police went to her Collard Valley Road residence. Police put a lookout on her vehicle, stating they had trouble with Summerville at her home.
Sanders waited at New Life Church anticipating Summerville would pass him. He pulled behind her when the van passed and turned on sirens and lights, reports said. She didn’t go beyond 60 m.p.h. but didn’t stop, reports said.
Reports said, instead, she waved the chief to go past her.
Reports state Summerville did stop at First Street where the chief told her repeatedly to pull over. He said in reports she continued, but did stop at the old police department at First and Elm Streets.
