This event will be held at Peek Park in Cedartown, beginning at noon. There will be no charge to attend, but donations will be accept to help defray the expenses.
“Seventy-five percent of the proceeds will go to benefit the Feed the Children organization for our local community,” said Leon Allen, a Cedartown Ministerial Association organizer. “The other 25 percent will go towards helping the ministerial association outreach program.”
The association is asking for assistance and cooperation from other areas churches, especially from their youth programs. There is a special need for performers, in the categories of solo, duo/group, drama/dance, youth choir and instrumental/band, Allen said.
In addition, the association is seeking donations of food, including hotdogs and hamburgers, along with buns, potato chips, soft drinks and cookies. Allen said these donations are tax deductible as the CMA is a registered non-profit organization with a 501 (c ) number.
The CMA may be reached through Cedar Spring Missionary Baptist Church, at 770-748-5545; or contact Allen at 770-361-2813, or CMA President Lewis Clark, at 770-883-4961.
