A collaborative effort from the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force and local investigators has led to the recovery of 368 marijuana plants that were being grown in a “clear-cut” pasture on Wildcat Road in Tallapoosa.

Task Force Agent Donnie Winfield says the plants contained a street value of $440,000, and the plants appeared to have been cultivated for distribution.

“Each plant that was found would produce about a pound a piece, so it looked more like someone was selling it than for personal use,” he said.
