If you sponsor a Homespun Festival, the crowds will come.
And, they did!
Downtown Rockmart was awash with wall-to-wall people all day Saturday, July 18. They came to see the the 5K run on the Silver Comet Trail and many remained. Early birds were given opportunity to view arts and crafts from throughout the Southeast.
There was plenty of fun for the young and young at heart, especially during the parade which featured a number of Shriners and other attractions.
In addition, people could enjoy good food and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
The schedule of events ended with a giant fireworks display. Everyone agreed Mother Nature smiled by providing cool temperatures, blue skies and plenty of sunshine.
It was a good day for all!
