A Cedartown woman was arrested in Rome on Thursday after police say she was in possession of methamphetamines.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Hope Eugenia Locklear, 27, of 2948 Reeceburg Road in Cedartown, was arrested during a traffic stop by Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers around 4:30 p.m. Arrest records said that officers obtained information that she was in possession of the drug, and a vehicle search resulted in the discovery of suspected methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.

Locklear was charged with felony possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug related objects and remains in jail without bail.
