Buddy Dewayne Kelly, 41, of 115 Hixville Road, Aragon, was arrested twice in one day last month.
He faces charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, obstruction, public drunkenness and terroristic threats.
According to Aragon Police Department reports, Kelly was first reported by his sister, Becky Kelly, around 2 p.m. June 22. Ms. Kelly, who lives across the street from her brother, told police he was drunk and verbally abusive. She had tried to call her mother, but he threw her phone into the woods. Another person at Ms. Kelly’s house said Kelly stole $20 from his wallet.
Police found Kelly at his residence, arrested him, and gave the $20 bill they found back to the man claiming it was stolen.
Kelly was released from jail after he paid the fine to the Aragon Police Department.
Then around 7:30 p.m., police receive another call. This time, Aragon Grocery said Kelly was causing a disturbance in the store. Police interviewed several witnesses identifying him and picked him up near his home.
Reports said Kelly was extremely intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. Officers said he refused to follow instructions and used profanity against officers--actions that led to additional charges.
Kelly was released a second time on a property bond.
