Cherokee Elementary School swept the Northwest Georgia Regional Science Fair Competition by bringing home first, second and third place awards for their projects. The honors were captured by fifth-graders (shown left to right) Kelsey Dyer Patrolling Pollution (first place), Mary Paige Gray Targeting Turbidity (third place) and Josie Perry Battery Power (second place). Cherokee Elementary also won first place in the overall elementary school division at the science fair, held at Georgia Highlands College.
