Country music recording artist John Berry performed for children at the Murphy-Harpst Children’s’ Center the evening of Nov. 22. He sang his own songs, including “Your Love Amazes Me” and “She’s Taken a Shine,” as well as Christmas songs such as “Silent Night.” “The children have been anticipating his visit,” said Emily Saltino, vice president of development at Murphy-Harpst, before the performance. “It is going to be very meaningful to them.” Berry also met with the children and took questions from them. On Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m., Berry will perform a selection of Christmas songs, as well as original songs, at the Cedartown Performing Arts Center. The Cedartown performance is the first of Berry’s Christmas Tour 2005. Ticket prices range from $15 to $30 and can be purchased by calling 770-748-4168.
