Woman arrested for stabbing her husband; man arrested for accidentally shooting wife

A Cedartown woman is out of jail on $6200 bond after she was arrested for stabbing her husband through the arm with a steak knife on Nov. 27.

From Polk County Jail records and county police reports:

Stephanie Lynn Osborne, 27, of 1232 Drummond Road, was arrested for aggravated assault and battery under the Family Violence Act.

Osborne allegedly stabbed her husband, 29-year-old Mark Christopher Osborne, through his left forearm with a steak knife during a dispute between the two at their home.

She reportedly approached him with the knife and stabbed at him in a downward motion. When he put up his left arm to defend himself, the knife penetrated and went through his arm.

Mark Osborne was taken to the Polk Medical Center Emergency Room where he was treated.

Stephanie Osborne was later arrested and transported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for booking and the Polk County Jail for confinement.

Accidental shooting

A Cedartown man was arrested for possession of a machine gun after accidentally shooting his wife in the legs on Nov. 25.

From Polk County Jail records and county police reports:

Nathan Lamar Biddy, 19, of 303 Perry St., was arrested and charged with reckless conduct and possession of a machine gun. He was later released from jail on $3100 bond.

Biddy reportedly accidentally shot his wife, Rendy Lee Biddy, in the legs as he was cleaning his gun.

Nathan Biddy told police that as he was cleaning his rifle, he dropped it, causing it to discharge and strike his wife in both her legs.

Polk County EMS arrived and treated the victim at the scene.

According to the report, police seized two guns from Nathan Biddy, the rifle and what is described as a “homemade fully automatic gun.”

He was arrested and transported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for booking and the Polk County Jail for confinement.

Suspect arrested

for bomb threat

Polk County police arrested an Aragon teen in connection with the Nov. 21 bomb threat at Rockmart High School.

From Polk County Jail records and county police reports:

Quenten Tremaine Jones, 18, of 249 Doc Moates Road, Aragon, was arrested and charged with disruption of public schools, terroristic threats and acts and false public alarm. He was later released from jail on $3600 bond.

Marvin Williams, principal at RHS, 990 Veterans Highway, reportedly found a note in a classroom that stated the school was going to blow up at 1:45 p.m.

The school was evacuated and students and faculty went to the football stadium.

Officers from the Polk County Police Department and the Rockmart Police Department searched the school but found no evidence of a bomb, the report states. Faculty and students were then allowed back into the school.

According to the report, county investigators interviewed students from the class where the note was found.

This was the second bomb threat at RHS this year, the first of which occurred on Aug. 12.

Glue inhalation

Polk County police arrested a man on Nov. 25 for allegedly inhaling model glue. He was later released from jail on $1000 bond.

Steven Don Snow, 47, of 2182 Buchanan Highway Lot 14, was arrested and charged with intentional inhaling of fumes of model glue and possession of drug related objects.

Police responded to Snow’s residence, where he had apparently called to report someone that had been bothering him.

After entering Snow’s residence, police reportedly saw Snow throw an object away from him.

Police found the object to be a clear plastic bag that had wadded up towels inside it that appeared to be soaked with some kind of chemicals.

Snow allegedly admitted to sniffing the chemicals inside the bag and was arrested.

He was taken to Polk Medical Center for evaluation and then to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for booking and the Polk County Jail for confinement.

Criminal trespass

A Cedartown man was arrested for trying to unlawfully enter two homes along Valley Drive and East View Drive on Nov. 27.

From Polk County Jail records and county police reports:

Saul Gonzales Morales, 19, of 391 Lyon St., was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing, public nuisance and public drunk.

Police received a call to a prowler along Valley Drive. A resident at 621 Valley Dr. told police that a Hispanic male wearing a white shirt and blue jeans had walked up to his home and tried to make entry. When the man could not make entry, he reportedly left walking toward East View Drive.

Police left to look for the suspect when they spotted Morales, who fit the description, standing outside of 212 East View Dr.

A resident there told police that Morales had tried to open her front door and window.

Morales was taken to the previous residence by police, where he was positively identified as the suspect.

Morales was arrested and transported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for booking and the Polk County Jail for confinement.

Vehicle accident

A Cedartown man suffered minor injuries after striking a telephone pole with his vehicle, causing the area to temporarily lose power on Nov. 28.

From Polk County police reports:

Jesse Allen King, 19, of Johnson Lake Road, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban when he reportedly collided with a telephone pole near the intersection of Judkin Mill Road and Buchanan Highway.

The vehicle left the roadway as King was driving around a sharp curve and traveled through a pasture fence, striking a utility pole guidewire.

The power pole was damaged as a result of the incident and power was lost for a period of time, the report states.

King was transported to Polk Medical Center to receive treatment for minor injuries.
