Two arrested on methamphetamine charges

Polk County Police Chief Billy Wills recently announced the arrest of two Polk County residents on drug related charges by the Polk County Police Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) for the second time within two weeks.

On March 28, NET executed two arrest warrants for Charles A. McAlister and Faye P. McAlister at their residence located at 193 Woodsmoke Road, Rockmart.

The arrest led to a narcotics search warrant resulting in the discovery and seizure of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and a firearm.

Both individuals were charged with Violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Charles McAlister was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Both subjects were recently arrested and charged with similar charges on March 18.

Members of the NET were assisted in the investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit. Both subjects were transported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Department for incarceration.
