Cedartown firefighters conducted their yearly recertification of the department’s water pumps at Mundy’s Lake Tuesday through Friday of last week. Water was drawn from the lake, then sprayed back into it at 1,250 gallons per minute. In the photo, firefighter Drenn Morgan (right) and Lt. Kevin Watters watch from atop a fire truck as the water is sprayed approximately 200 feet back into the lake. Chief Sammy Stephens said that he would like to extend his personal thanks to the Mundy’s Lake Committee for allowing firefighters to use the lake for the tests.
