Students send notes of thanks to soldiers

Cherokee Elementary School Teacher Shelly Bentley has been working with her students on how to write letters. For practice, the class wrote letters to soldiers in Afghanistan to express thanks to the troops at Thanksgiving and perhaps bring them a smile. Bentley has three students in her class with immediate family members currently serving. Bentley chose this particular troop because it is where a brother of one of the students is currently stationed. Bentley is pictured above with her class holding their letters for mailing.
