The Polk County Narcotics Enforcement Team has executed five drug raids inside the county since March 9, resulting in the arrest of 18 individuals on methamphetamine and crack cocaine charges.
March 18
According to Polk County Police Chief Billy Wills, two individuals were arrested after a narcotics search warrant was executed at the home of Charles Alton McAlister and Faye P. McAlister, located at 193 Wood Smoke Road.
Faye McAlister was arrested and charged with violating the Georgia Controlled Substance Act (VGCSA) for possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of schedule II and III narcotics, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and theft by receiving.
Also at the residence, an individual identified as Artice Lee Davis of 430 Woodsmoke Road who was arrested for VGCSA for possession of meth and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
Charles Alton McAlister, who was not at the residence upon law enforcement arrival, is currently wanted by the Polk County Police Department (PCPD) and faces the same charges as Faye McAlister, with an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
A search of the residence led to the discovery and seizure of a felony quantity of suspect marijuana, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, stolen property, multiple firearms and $3,000 is U.S. currency.
The warrant was executed with the help of SWAT, CID, and the uniform division of the PCPD. K-9 units from the Polk County Sheriff’s Department and Cedartown Police Department also assisted.
March 17
Two residents in the Aragon area were arrested by the NET at 211 Williams St., Aragon, the home of Scott Lamar Aiken and Teresa Evelyn Aiken.
Both suspects were charged with VGCSA for possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a sawed off shotgun.
The search led to the discovery and seizure of a quantity of suspected crystal meth, approximately four ounces of suspected marijuana, other drug related items and multiple firearms.
NET members were assisted by the Aragon Police Department, Cedartown Police Department K-9 unit, Rockmart Police Department, SWAT and uniform patrol.
March 16
Three individuals were arrested on drug related charges at a home on Collard Valley Road.
A narcotics search warrant was executed at the home of Bradford Tyrone Davis, Tommy Lee Alexander and Learie I. Daniel Jr.
All three suspects were charged with VGCSA for trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Approximately 10 ounces of suspected marijuana, one ounce of suspected crack cocaine, a firearm, drug-related items and $1,000 in U.S. currency were seized at the home.
Additionally, Lavonia Robinson, of 458 Pine Mountain Road, Rockmart, was charged with VGCSA for possession of cocaine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
The NET was aided by the Cedartown Police Department K-9 unit.
March 15
A stolen property investigation led to the arrest of eight adults and one juvenile on drug related charges at the residence of Ronald and Stacey Carter of 445 Lee Road, Wills said.
Individuals arrested were identified as Brandy Schwartz, Amanda Moore, Stephanie Long and Callie Holmes of 3870 Collard Valley Road and Jeremy Fincher, Scotty W. Fincher and Ronald and Stacey Carter, all of 445 Lee Road.
Ronald and Stacey Carter, Jeremy and Scott Fincher and Brandy Schwartz were charged with VGCSA for trafficking meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute possession of meth, possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
Moore, Holmes and Long, as well as the juvenile were charged with the same VGCSA charges along with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Found during a search were an approximate four ounces of suspected crystal meth, drug related items and $1,192 in U.S. currency.
Assistance was provided to the NET during the investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit and Cedartown Police Department personnel.
March 9
Cedartown’s Circle A Motel in Cedartown was the site of two arrests after a narcotics search warrant was executed with the help of Cedartown Police Department personnel.
Arrested were Demetrius Lamar Holmes, whose residence was listed as #5 Circle A Motel and Brandy Angel Morris, of 219 Lee Road.
Both individuals were charged with VGCSA for possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
A quantity of suspected crack cocaine and drug related items were recovered.
All arrested were transported to and incarcerated at the Polk County Jail.
