FALL SOFTBALL LEAGUE – The Cedartown Recreation Department is offering a unique late summer/fall softball season. According to recreation director Scott Colbert, it is going to be an “old school” softball season, in which teams are allowed to hit as many homeruns as they care to hit. The league will be limited to the first six teams to sign up and played only on the south field. The south field is longer and has a regulation fence, stated Colbert. The first organizational meeting will be on Tuesday, August 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the gym at Northwest Park. All of the rules will be explained then. Anyone interested in playing in the league should be there then.

FULL MOON GOLF SCRAMBLE – The Full Moon Golf Scramble, to benefit the Exchange Club Family Resource Center, will be held Thursday, August 14 at Stonebridge Golf Club starting at 5:30 p.m. The entry fee is $110 per person or $400 per four-person team.
