Two Rockmart residents were arrested after a public brawl on Sunday, May 4.

From reports:

At approximately 9:20 p.m., at 4404 Buchanan Hwy, John Wesley Hannah, 35, 1014 Ten Oaks Rd., was said to have attacked Jerry William Dockery, 804 Poseyville Rd., with a baseball bat. After striking him several times about the head and face, Kimberly Dawn Whitmore, 29, 1014 Ten Oaks Rd., entered the fray. She reportedly cut Hannah’s leg several times.

Officer Terry Mahan arrived on the scene and separated those involved. He then arrested both Hannah and Whitmore on FVA (Family Violence Act) charges of aggravated assault.

Hannah was later treated at the Polk Medical Center for the knife wounds.
