Residents should bundle up and pack a steaming thermos of hot chocolate as they set out Friday to watch Cedartown’s annual Christmas Parade.

This year’s parade is dubbed as “The Wonder of Christmas.”

Expected to be a chilly one — around 45 degrees — the night will be packed with festive floats, marching bands and a visit from the jolly man from the North Pole.

According to City Clerk Carol Crawford 68 entries have been entered into the parade and six marching bands have signed up to play, including Cedartown’s very own marching bulldog band.

Before the parade, Santa will be checking his list and posing for pictures on the steps of Courthouse No. 2. The

City of Cedartown Relay for Life team will offer $5 photos

with Santa from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

After the parade, a special Christmas caroling event will be held at the courthouse.
