The driver of the Ford Explorer Sport Trac that overturned on Highway 101 near Aragon on Tuesday is in Atlanta Medical Center's intensive care unit, according to police.
Rockmart Police Chief Keith Sorrells identified the woman as Sundee Rebecca Proctor, 25, of 14 East Third St., Aragon. She had been airlifted to the Atlanta hospital after the crash.
Sorrells said the wreck occurred when Proctor tried to pass two vehicles by using the right lane. However, there was a car going slow in the right lane and Proctor turned the wheel to avoid it, causing the truck to overturn on the grassy bank across from Nordic.
Sorrells said Proctor will likely be charged with driving too fast for conditions and improper passing.
