The suspect was eventually caught and the victim was not injured.
According to Cedartown police reports:
On Monday, June 24, Mrs. Geneva Casey was approached by a hooded black male suspect at her Lakeside Drive address.
The suspect held a chrome knife to Mrs. Casey’s throat and demanded $10,000 before asking her name.
Once she told the suspect her name, the juvenile left the premises, running towards College St.
The suspect, a 15 year-old, is thought to be the suspect behind other robberies in the Cedartown area. He was later found on Central Street.
He is currently being held by the Cedartown Police Department and is awaiting a hearing.
His name can not be released in accordance to state law, due to his age.
