Cedartown gets $500,000 for Streetscape

Senator Nathan Dean (D- Rockmart) was on hand recently to award the City of Cedartown a $500,000 grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation. Dean obtained the grant from the DOT which will be used for a streetscape project in downtown Cedartown. Dean also secured $255,000 for Rockmart’s project. Dean said, “I appreciate the full cooperation of the DOT ... I am honored to have been a help and service to the citizens of Cedartown and Polk County.” Appearing in the photo are, left to right, Rep. Bill Cummings, State Rep. Bill Heath, Sen.
