Over 350 fifth graders from Cherokee, Northside and Westside attended the sixth annual Young Children–Priority One Health Fair at the Cherokee Elementary School gymnasium on March 4. Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Cedartown and the K-Kids of Cherokee, the fair provided students with information to assist them in making important decisions concerning tobacco and alcohol abuse, the use of marijuana and other addictive drugs, gun and fire safety in the home, bullying and alternative after school snacks. In the above photo, Capt. Greg Cooper and Officer Andre Nicholson, of the Cedartown Police Department, discuss gun safety with students.
