Cedartown Performing Arts Center Director Gary Redding stated that over 300 seniors visited Polk County for a private viewing of Cotton Patch Gospel on Feb. 14. Senior groups from Huntsville, Ala., Centre, Ala., Snelville and Carrollton participated as part of a special Valentine’s Day program. Redding said that 185 seniors from Huntsville participated as part of a “mystery” trip. The seniors, Redding said, didn’t know that they were coming to Cedartown. They had lunch at Petro’s before viewing the play at 3 p.m. Redding stated that the response to the play seemed positive. The next show the Center will host is the Glenn Miller Orchestra. The show is set for this Friday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be bought by calling Call 770-748-4168.
