Members of the Boy Scouts Troop #21 recently held a Court of Honors ceremony at St. James Episcopal Church. Six scouts were given merit badges and four scouts received rank advancements. Harold Lumpkin, Polk County Board of Education member was invited to the event as a special guest speaker. Lumpkin, who was actively involved in the scouting program during his childhood, spoke on the rewards of being a part of the organization.
