A Tallpoosa woman was apprehended for shoplifting and later found with drugs on Friday, August 15.

At Wal-Mart, 109 Davis Rd., employees saw Kimberly Sue Liner, 30, Tallapoosa, attempt to leave the store with four boxes of suphedrine, valued at $3.64 each. The manager told Officer James Ray that Liner had placed the suphedrine in her purse and attempted to leave the business when she was apprehended.
Ray then spoke with Liner and checked her purse for the missing items. Along with the suphedrine, he discovered a glass container with a suspected methamphetamine residue, a half of a Lorcet tablet and a piece of aluminum foil wrapped around suspected methamphetamine in her purse.
Liner was arrested on charges of Violation the Georgia Controlled Substance Act by possessing dangerous drugs and shoplifting.
