Aragon man charged with drugs on campus

A 19-year-old Aragon man is in the Polk County Jail on allegations that he was attempting to sell prescription drugs at Rockmart High School.

According to the jail docket and police reports, Joshua Tyler Williams, 19, of 9 Pine St., Aragon was arrested Thursday at the school. He is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled substance on public school grounds.

Rockmart Police Department reports state than an officer was asked to escort Williams to an office to see if he had an Xanax in his possession.

A search yielded four large pink pills and 18 small orange pills in Williams' pockets, reports said.

The pills were identified by police as Endocet and Alprozolam.

Williams was then arrested and taken to jail.
