Four Shorter College students took top honors at the Georgia Music Teachers Association Competition held recently at Kennesaw State University.

Thomas Williams, a junior from Temple, was honored as the GMTA Upper College Level Outstanding Performer and 2009 Convention Recitalist, and Bradley Harris, a freshman from Stone Mountain, was awarded the Lower College Level GMTA Outstanding Performer and 2009 Convention Recitalist.

Sophomore Christian Bigliani, from Cumming, received the Award of Excellence, and senior Jennifer Tripi, from Peachtree City, was given an honorable mention.

All four students are from the piano studio of Shorter College professor Mary Ann Knight.
